Top or Flop: When AI Delivers Web Content

High-quality online content is essential for organic visibility. That’s why many companies focus on content marketing. With tools like Copy.ai, Riku.ai, Jasper.ai, or now completely free with ChatGPT, content can also be created automatically in very high quality. But how well do these tools work and what matters in content marketing anyway?

Content is King – Content Marketing

Content marketing is a marketing strategy that aims to produce and distribute high-quality and relevant content to attract and retain potential customers. It’s about showcasing the benefits and added value of your own company and providing users with real value, rather than directly advertising.

Content can take various forms, such as blog posts, videos, podcasts, infographics, or social media posts. The focus is on informing and entertaining the target audience to build trust and loyalty.

A successful content marketing concept typically includes the following steps:

  1. Target audience analysis: First, the target audience must be precisely defined to align the content with their needs and interests.
  2. Develop content strategy: Next, a content strategy should be developed that determines what content will be produced, how it will be distributed, and what goals are being pursued.
  3. Create content: Now the content must be created. It’s important that it’s of high quality and provides real value to users.
  4. Distribute content: After the content is created, it must be distributed to reach as many users as possible. This can be done through various channels such as social media, email marketing, or your own website.
  5. Analysis and optimization: Finally, the success of content marketing should be regularly analyzed and the strategy adjusted accordingly.

When Artificial Intelligence Writes Blog Posts.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a collective term for computer-supported systems that are capable of learning and automating processes independently and autonomously. AI systems are often used to take over human-like tasks that are too complex or time-consuming for humans.

There are different types of AI based on different technologies. The most well-known are:

  1. Machine Learning: Machine learning is a subfield of AI that deals with how computers can learn independently by responding to data. It uses algorithms that continuously improve the more data they receive.
  2. Neural Networks: Neural networks are AI systems modeled after the human brain and can improve through learning. They consist of many artificial neurons that are connected to each other and influence each other.
  3. Expert Systems: Expert systems are AI systems based on expert knowledge that are capable of making decisions or solving problems. They are often used in areas where it’s important to respond quickly and reliably to specific questions or problems.

AI systems are used in many areas, such as speech and image recognition, autonomous vehicle control, or in medicine. They can take over human-like tasks and thus make life easier for many people. Through systems like ChatGPT from OpenAI, completely new possibilities are opening up in content marketing as well.

The author only needs to think about the structure of the text and then lets the AI write the individual text sections. Even code examples for simple tasks can be automated. It’s recommended not to take the content 1-to-1 and to convert the individual blocks linguistically into a uniform form. Additionally, there are of course other tools, such as Originality AI, that check the content for plagiarism and AI-generated content. If AI content is detected, this content can be rewritten using paraphrasing tools like QuillBot AI so that the content is recognized as human-written rather than generated.

If so, then you’ve already read an AI-assisted blog post written by our co-founder Tobias using ChatGPT. Furthermore, this article was also largely written by ChatGPT. The following image shows how half of the last paragraph in this article was created.
