The next major release of Sonepar Digiplan (https://sonepar-digiplan.de) is in the starting blocks, and for the first time, there is a companion app for Android and iOS devices alongside the web-based Software as a Service platform. Particularly interesting is the AI-based scanner for capturing paper plans and the floor plan scanner based on LiDAR in iPhone and iPad Pro models. Unlike JETPLAN, for example, we rely on a native smartphone app that can be installed on the user’s device.

What is Sonepar Digiplan? The Electrical Planning Software!

Sonepar-Digiplan is a user-friendly Software as a Service solution for electrical tradespeople, specifically developed for planning and managing electrical installations. It offers an intuitive user interface and allows users to upload their own symbols, create customized plans, and efficiently determine material requirements. Thanks to AI symbol recognition and various editing tools, installation plans can be quickly and flexibly adapted and created. New users benefit from simple onboarding and a clear overview of all projects in various viewing modes. The entire platform is developed and operated by innFactory in the Google Cloud. With the new release, a native app for Android and iOS joins the WebApp, which we programmed with Flutter.

The New Features of the Sonepar Digiplan App

With the introduction of the new Sonepar Digiplan app, electrical installation planning becomes even more flexible and mobile. The app enables users to work on construction sites directly with their mobile devices. Particularly noteworthy is the 3D capture using LiDAR technology. This floor plan scanner, available in newer iPhone and iPad Pro models, allows existing buildings and rooms to be digitized precisely and quickly. Complete floor plans can be created within seconds, which can then be further edited in the app.

Another exciting feature is the AI-based plan scanner, which makes it possible to digitize paper plans and import them directly into the system. This not only saves time but also significantly reduces the error rate. The app supports various file formats such as PDF and PNG and offers simple CAD functionalities to efficiently implement plan modifications.

The Sonepar Digiplan app offers a variety of benefits, especially for electrical trade businesses that frequently work in existing buildings where no digital plans are available.
