What is AWS Elemental MediaLive?

AWS Elemental MediaLive is a real-time video service that lets you create live outputs for broadcast and streaming delivery. The service transforms live video content from one format and package into other formats and packages needed by playback devices such as smartphones or set-top boxes attached to televisions.

What is AWS Elemental MediaLive?

How does MediaLive differ from MediaConvert?

MediaLive is designed for continuous live streams with real-time processing. MediaConvert, by contrast, processes existing files for VOD workflows. Use MediaLive for live events and MediaConvert for recorded content.

What input formats are supported?

MediaLive supports inputs including RTMP push, RTP push, and HLS pull, as well as connections via AWS Elemental MediaConnect and Elemental Link hardware. Scheduled playback from files is also possible.

How much does MediaLive cost?
