What is AWS RTB Fabric?
Per AWS, AWS RTB Fabric is a service that provides secure, low-latency infrastructure for connecting real-time bidding (RTB) applications. Rather than hosting applications itself, RTB Fabric acts as the connecting network over which customer applications communicate privately instead of over the public internet. Per AWS, customers retain full control over their applications, data, and bidding decisions. Per AWS, the service helps connect AdTech partners such as Amazon Ads, GumGum, Kargo, MobileFuse, Sovrn, TripleLift, Viant, Yieldmo, and more in three steps, delivering single-digit millisecond latency through a private, high-performance network.
AWS RTB Fabric has been generally available (GA) since October 23, 2025 and, per the official AWS What’s New announcement, is available in the following Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Europe (Frankfurt), and Europe (Ireland).
Core Features
- Requester and responder gateways: AWS-managed network endpoints colocated with the customer’s VPC that forward bid requests and responses without, per AWS, hosting application logic or business data
- Links: AWS-managed, bidirectional connections between requester and responder gateways that must be accepted by the receiving side before becoming active
- Modules: Configurable components for rate limiting, OpenRTB filtering, and error masking, included at no additional charge per AWS
- Three connectivity patterns: Internal-to-internal, external-to-internal, and internal-to-external for different combinations of RTB Fabric customers and external applications
- Logging: Optional requester and responder logs that can be delivered to CloudWatch Logs or Amazon S3; per AWS, logs are not stored within the RTB Fabric infrastructure
Typical Use Cases
SSP-to-DSP connectivity: A supply-side platform connects via RTB Fabric to a demand-side platform that also uses RTB Fabric (internal-to-internal per AWS documentation).
Connecting external partners: An SSP outside AWS sends bid requests to a DSP that uses RTB Fabric (external-to-internal).
Connecting to external DSPs: An RTB Fabric customer application sends requests to a DSP outside RTB Fabric (internal-to-external).
Reducing bidding network costs: Per AWS, standard cloud networking costs for RTB workloads can be reduced by up to 80 percent.
Benefits
- Private, low-latency connection instead of the public internet for bid traffic
- No upfront commitments in the pricing model
- Built-in traffic management modules at no extra cost
- Availability across six AWS Regions, including two EU Regions
Integration with innFactory
As an AWS Reseller, innFactory supports you with AWS RTB Fabric: connecting your SSP or DSP application via requester and responder gateways, configuring modules for rate limiting and filtering, setting up log delivery to CloudWatch or S3, and modeling costs based on your expected transaction volume.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is AWS RTB Fabric?
Per AWS documentation, AWS RTB Fabric is a service that provides secure, low-latency infrastructure for connecting real-time bidding (RTB) applications. Rather than hosting applications, RTB Fabric acts as the connecting network so customer applications communicate privately instead of over the public internet. The service has been generally available (GA) since October 23, 2025.
Which regions is AWS RTB Fabric available in?
Per the official AWS What's New announcement, RTB Fabric is available in the following AWS Regions: 'US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Europe (Frankfurt), and Europe (Ireland).' That includes two EU Regions.
How much does AWS RTB Fabric cost?
Per the official pricing page, billing is consumption-based per billion RTB requests and responses, with no upfront commitments. The first 2 trillion transactions per month are billed at a higher rate, with a reduced rate above that threshold. Additional fees apply for payload beyond 2 KiB per transaction, plus separate, lower rates for no-bid responses. Per the pricing page, the AWS Free Tier is not available for RTB Fabric.
How does the connection between requester and responder work?
Per AWS documentation, requester applications send bid requests to AWS-managed requester gateways that run alongside the customer's VPC. These forward the request through a link to a responder gateway, which passes the request to the responder application; the response travels back the same path. Per AWS, requester and responder gateways do not host application logic or business data.
