What is Azure AI Bot Service?
Notice: Microsoft has not announced a retirement date for Azure AI Bot Service itself. What ended is support for the Bot Framework SDK: the SDK and the Bot Framework Emulator are archived on GitHub and no longer maintained, and support tickets are no longer serviced as of December 31, 2025. For new agents Microsoft points to the Microsoft 365 Agents SDK, for Teams agents to the Teams SDK, and for SaaS scenarios to Microsoft Copilot Studio.
